Process

Guidelines

For Participating Schools

The following is expected from Schools registering for Experifun Bitathon:

  • Let children be aware of the Bitathon challenge
  • Provide accurate details in the registration form
  • Receive the question papers and answer sheets
  • Organize the test as per the indicated date in regular classrooms
  • Courier the answer sheets to Experifun
For Participating Students

Experifun Bitathon focuses on the depth and breadth of computer understanding. The questions are expected to cover hardware, software, applications, computer parts & their communication to name a few areas.
Students should carefully study the syllabus as well as the question samples given in the sample question set to get an idea of the kind of understanding required.

Selection process:

Experifun BITATHON will have 2 levels:

Level I: Bitathon Prelims:

  • Will be organized in schools premises
  • All students of grades 5, 6 and 7 will participate
  • Experifun will announce the qualifying students / schools for them to participate in the Bitathon Ultimate

Level II: Bitathon Ultimate:

  • The winning students/schools of the Bitathon Prelims will participate
  • Experifun will announce the winners (students / schools) of the Bitathon Ultimate through official channels

*The final winners will be chosen from the group of students/schools participating in the Bitathon Ultimate.

Awards

  • Both school as well as children will receive award
  • 1st to 10th rankers will get the award
  • Branding and media coverage: for top rank schools and children

Computer Fundamentals - Basic parts of a Computer and their Functions, Uses of Computers, Input and Output Devices.
Binary - What is Binary, Binary numbers.
Internet - Introduction to the Internet, Basic terms and their function/meaning, Websites and Webpages, Uses of the Internet.
MS Word - Introduction to Text Editors, Basic Editing Commands (eg. cut, paste, etc.), Uses of MS Word.

FAQ’s for Results

1) How do I find my school’s result?

We have mailed the result to all the registered school addresses. For the soft copy of the result, visit http://experifun.com/bitathon/ and enter the required details. Our team will e-mail the customised result file to your registered email id within 24 hours.

2) When is Round 2?

Our team has carefully analysed every school’s data and selected the top performers who would be competing in a round 2. You and your school will receive communication from our team shortly.

3) I haven’t understood something. Whom do I contact?

FAQ’s for Challenge Day

1) What is the School Code?

School code is a unique 3 digit code mentioned on the top of  instruction sheet and also hand over documentation. The test coordinator should know this number and write it on the board , so that all students can write/mark the same on the answer sheets.If the school is assigned a code number 001 , they should mark/write 001 and not just 1.

2) What is the Roll number?

Roll number to be marked/written on the answer sheet is the same as class roll number. Example: If any student have roll number 4 , he/she should write 004 and also mark the same.

3) What should the school do with the question papers?

The question paper should be taken back from the students after the challenge. The school should keep the question paper with them , and should return it to the students only after 3rd November. They are not required to send those back to Experifun

4) What documents should be sent back to Experifun?

  • Completed Answer Sheets
  • Handover Documentation
  • Any unused answer sheets.

5) How should they send the answer sheets back to Experifun?

They should send the answer sheets back to Experifun through normal courier within 48 hours of the challenge.
